The 'niotkuda' line of DIY publications continues with a new zine based on a discovered folder of documents. Inside is a report by a group of hikers on their expedition through the Polar Urals from July 11 to August 8, 1969. The route spanned the Sob River to the Ob River. Chronicler V.S. Smirnov describes the events of the journey while simultaneously preparing the reader for a similar trek by drawing on the group's experience. The narrative is accompanied by black and white photographs taken by photo correspondent V.G. Shirokov. One of these photos bears the date 1979, indicating a continued fascination with the Polar Urals a full decade later.
Such a document may well prove interesting and useful to the modern traveler or researcher of memory. The zine is produced on paper aged by time, making each copy unique. The original spelling, punctuation, and page sequence have been preserved.
